About 'Julian'

When purchased by us on 23rd August 2016, the Talbot Symphony autosleeper had its original (1993) internal features, including upholstery and curtains. As these were in good condition I felt no desire to make costly changes. I did however spend just over £150 on stuff like kettle, cutlery, cushions and sleeping bags...choosing shades to tone with the established blue colour scheme.

Having never previously owned a campervan, and generally disliking traffic, tents and tourists...why did we buy Julian in the first place?
Well, 'formal' holidays simply don't work for us, and Julian seemed to offer a 'get up and go' opportunity...a now and again, weather permitting, weekend or short-notice mid week get-away option.

My husband hasn't yet retired so works full time, and I'm busy with my own interests during the week. We have evolved to fill all our shared 'relaxation' periods with household jobs and gardening so it seems that, unless we make a decision to take time 'away from home', nowt will change.

During our get-away periods my husband hopes to again enjoy countryside walking, whilst I prefer to wander. We both enjoy reading and we both have decent cameras. I'd like to write short stories again too...but we'll just see how it goes.
