UPHILL: August 29th.

We'd been unable to book a site close to home at short notice due to this weekend being a Bank Holiday. With Julian being new to us, we'd wanted to spend some time away from home...but not too far to return if anything important was amiss.  So, as the sun was shining this morning, we decided to head to the beach at Weston-S-Mare for the day to see how we got on.

It has to be said that the location (Uphill village area) suited our experiment perfectly. The beach was quiet when we arrived and didn't get over-busy at any time...so we were able to chill out and watch the sand surfers, kites and bobbing boats...the tide came in too!

Travelling such a short distance from home along country roads we found the journey itself easy going in both directions.  Even the dog was chilled (she doesn't usually like travelling). Once on the beach we managed to find everything we needed on board. We used the fridge, the cooker, boiled the kettle and washed up.  So far so good!

Note:
Dustpan and stiff brush needed! There's sand everywhere!
